Brilane Manchego

Brilane Manchego joined the Nova Southeastern volleyball staff as an assistant in August 2026. 

Manchego comes to Fort Lauderdale from Pueblo, Colo. after spending one season as an assistant coach at Colorado State University, Pueblo, helping guide the program to one of the most successful seasons in school history. The ThunderWolves finished 20-9, opening conference play with the best start in modern history, winning their first seven games in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. CSU-Pueblo also made its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2022 with three AVCA All-Americans. 

Prior to CSU Pueblo, Manchego spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Western Colorado University.

As a player, Manchego began her collegiate career at Otero College, where she became the program's first-ever volleyball All-American, earning First Team NJCAA All-American and Second Team AVCA All-American honors. She was also named Region IX Setter of the Year, broke the school record with 2,317 assists, and helped lead Otero to a Region IX Championship and a seventh-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament.

She concluded her playing career at Davis & Elkins College, where she earned First Team All-Mountain East Conference honors in 2020–21 after ranking second in the conference and among the nation's leaders in assists per set. She finished her career with 2,373 assists, ranking third in program history, while also totaling 188 kills, 59 service aces, and 542 digs.

Manchego earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Health and Athletic Training from Davis & Elkins College and a Master of Education in Positive Coaching & Athletic Leadership from the University of Missouri.
